Born in Working Class ‘Troubles’ Northern Ireland, Christopher Hanvey is a Screenwriter, Director, Producer, Photographer and CEO of Development Studio + Production House ANARCHY!

An Academy Award ® contender for LIBERTÉ, a film that was acquired by A+E Networks & History ®, he has been featured in media outlets internationally including Variety, BBC, The Washington Times, London’s Evening Standard, Graydon Carter’s Air Mail & TimeOut London.

Formerly an Actor, Writer & Producer for the independent Stage and Screen, his work has been acclaimed and derided in equal measure for it's no-nonsense punk aesthetic, such as his 'Troubles' thriller debut play JUSTICE, which garnered TimeOut Critics' Choice & Show of the Week, his acclaimed Native American Reservation-set Solo THE NATIVE (Directed by RSC Alumni Heather Davies), the BAFTA Nominated Drama COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN opposite Nicolas Hoult (Tiger Aspect for BBC), multi award-winning Horror Short NIGHT LAND (As Co-Lead in a film by Christian Burnett seen by an Audience of over 580,000 Worldwide) and Gary Mitchell's SUICIDE BRUNETTE, reviving the renowned Belfast Writer's career after many years in the wilderness.

Since those auspicious beginnings Christopher has forged a notable career as a Commercial Filmmaker and Photographer working in Fashion, Luxury & Music, where his Clients included indie Rock Band FALSE HEADS, REPUBLIC RECORDS, ROUNDHOUSE LONDON and SOTHEBY’S.

Previously Resident Filmmaker at the Academy Award ® winning SLICK FILMS, for whom he directed over 350 Showreel Scenes, he has also curated and taught his Screen Acting Program in establishments throughout the UK, most notably at PINEWOOD STUDIOS & ANARCHY! ACTORS STUDIO.
